Jules is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Edinburgh, Scotland. Jules Reed is the 'alter ego' of classical composer Julian Wagstaff (see julianwagstaff.com).

Jules is delighted to confirm that he will be playing a free concert at the Crafty Cock pub in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees at 7.30pm on Sunday 6 October 2019. This is a great little craft beer pub, with a friendly crowd and regular live music. Jules will perform two sets, the first consisting mainly of songs from The Firrenes' album Door Too Wide (on which he played and sang), while the second will focus on classic rock and pop covers. Jules will be joined for this show by The Firrenes' bass player/vocalist Walt Cumming - definitely an evening not to be missed!

Jules's song 'Burn Brighter', performed by the band The Firrenes (in which he plays) made it to the last 60 (out of nearly 3000 entries) in the Listen Up Music Songwriters' Festival 2018. You can listen to the complete song here:
The Firrenes (rhyming with 'beans') performed the song at Edinburgh's Voodoo Rooms on Thursday 30 August 2018.

In the summer of 2016, Jules spent an enjoyable extended stay in Amsterdam. As well as writing new material, he played sets of mainly original songs at two popular music bars, CC Muziekcafé and De Nieuwe Anita. The songs were warmly received on both occasions. Jules spent August 2017 in Aarhus in Denmark, writing new songs, playing live and enjoying the city's status as European Capital of Culture.
