Run by Ged Brockie and Adam Armit, this local independent record label boasts an eclectic roster of acts, and is home to the Edinburgh Quartet album Frontiers and Bridges, which features Julian Wagstaff's Piano Quintet.

The Edinburgh Quartet
Scotland's foremost professional string quartet, indeed the country's only full-time professional chamber ensemble, the Edinburgh Quartet are resident at Napier University and give regular concerts in Edinburgh and Glasgow in addition to their near-constant touring commitments. The internationally renowned quartet recorded my Piano Quintet in 2004, and gave the first performance of the string quartet version of Treptow in 2006.

Contemporary music publisher based in Edinburgh. Publishers of Julian Wagstaff's Piano Quintet. The publisher also represents the composers Alfredo Caponnetto and Shiori Usui.

Formerly the Edinburgh University Opera Club, this company produced the sell-out run of Julian Wagstaff's chamber opera The Turing Test on the 2007 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, to critical acclaim.

Polar Flame Music
Scotland's premiere music tuition company, run by my friend Paul Boyd. Polar Flame are Edinburgh based, and offer tuition in all styles of music (classical, rock, jazz etc) on virtually all instruments, plus theory and composition. Paul is also a successful and respected composer and music promoter in his own right.

Conrad Productions
Mick McGarr's recording company. Mick wrote many of the orchestrations for my musical John Paul Jones, and produced most of the recordings on my Music page including the Jones cast recording. Mick specialises in providing highly cost-effective production solutions for songwriters.

The Rose Street Quartet
Founded by my friends Liz Ford and Pete Harvey, the Rose Street Quartet are one of Edinburgh's most active string quartets. In addition to regular concerts, they are also available for weddings, parties and functions. They occasionally expand in number to become the Rose Street Ensemble, and recorded my Treptow piece in 2005

Edinburgh Philharmonic Orchestra
This excellent local orchestra was founded by Corrinna Kearsley, who played cello in my musical John Paul Jones. They gave the premiere of my Symphonic Overture from John Paul Jones on 1st April, 2006.

The professional organisation for composers and songwriters in the UK, of which I am a member.

The Untapped Talent Society
Edinburgh University society of rock, pop and folk musicians. 10 of us toured the UK in September 2002 on a singer-songwriter tour organised by Ben Skuse, playing in pubs and acoustic clubs around the country.

The Intercultural Ensemble
A group of students from round the world who play and write music together (I'm one of them). We hope to learn things from each other in an atmosphere of mutual respect, while writing and playing high quality work. We met at Edinburgh University, and we aim to support the Music Department's vibrant Music in the Community projects wherever we can.

See what my colleagues are up to. We are fortunate in the Music Department at Edinburgh in having some truly great composers among the staff and students. Names include Prof. Nigel Osborne, Edward Harper and Peter Nelson (among the staff), and Juan Ortiz, Kim-Ho Ip, Jordan Fleming, Running Bear Bunch, Anothai Nitibhon and Anna Clyne among present and former students.
