The Piano Quintet appears on an exciting album of new music by the Edinburgh Quartet entitled Frontiers and Bridges. The soloist is Alina Kolonitskaya, and the above excerpt is taken from the recording which appears on the album.

The Piano Quintet (for piano and string quartet) was composed in 2002, and has three-movements. It received its first performance in April of the following year, at a concert given by the Capriccio Quartet with Alina Kolonitskaya on Piano. The slow movement was a finalist in the instrumental section of the 2004 UK Songwriting Contest.
